Carol Davis (left) and Gail Repetti, Chapter Pres.
The DALI girls love to paint and have a wonderful, large chapter in Long Island NY.
I had a great time and maybe I'll get asked to come back someday!
Joy and Cielo in the front row...you've gotta be brave to sit in the front row!!

I was treated to a pot-luck dinner and Margarita's with a few of the chapter members on day one.
Kemala (top right) is the Chapter Pres.
29/08: Bakersfield/May 2006
The end of day one.
We all are having a really great time!
29/08: Bakersfield Seminar Raffle
The girls are taking a break and inspecting the raffle items.
29/08: Bakersfield Winner
Kim Warren won the donated item painted by yours truly.
29/08: New overhead camera
This was really a treat for me and for the class.
The chapter liked it so much they are going to get their own system for future seminars and paint-ins.
I can take it on a plane or ship it ahead...the only thing I can't take is the TV sets.
17/11: This is where I paint...
I thought you might like to see where I paint. I am very lucky that I have a dedicated space where I can paint and don't have to share with anyone else. Since my girls have grown and gone I have taken over the upstairs and my wood, paint and supplies are tucked here and there.
Jo Sonja says we should try to surround ourselves with things that inspire our creativity, so I have most but not all of my 'collection' upstairs in and around the studio space. I also have a large collection of reference books in the room just behind me. A little soft music playing in the background and my hummingbirds just outside the window.
17/11: Studio
I used to face this wall as I painted and found it cramped my creativity. I finally tried a little Feng Shui with the mirror but it wasn't enough. As you can see with the photo above I had to move in front of a window to be totally happy.
The collection continues on the wall...the only thing hanging there that is mine is the framed cover of the Decorative Painter with my Honey Bears.
I try to be neat but most of the time I have to walk around the piles.
17/11: Studio Collection
I am an incurable collector. Although, as I get older I am trying to curb those feelings. How much stuff do we really need?
In this photo the tin pieces sit on an original Peter Hunt shelf. I also have a Peter Hunt painted 'sad iron', to heavy to place on this shelf.
There are Jo Sonja, Peter Ompir and John Dunn pieces on the shelf.
